Talesun panels — budget, but watch for uneven quality

Short answer
Talesun Solar, China, founded in 2010. Sells heavily into Eastern Europe through low-price channels. Quality varies batch to batch — some 10-year-old installs look fine, others show accelerated degradation. Formal 12-year warranty, but enforcement depends heavily on the specific distributor. Acceptable only if priced 20%+ below LONGi/Jinko and you accept the risk.
When to pick it
Talesun is a strictly economic option:
- Installs under 5 kWp where total cost is ~EUR 6,000 and a full replacement in 10 years isn't financial disaster.
- Holiday home, cabin — seasonal use, low reliability importance.
- Extreme budget where the gap with Jinko would be 15–20% on total system cost.
For a primary residential house, the risk isn't justified.
Watch-outs
- Talesun at Jinko pricing — price parity removes the only reason to pick it. Demand a real discount vs Mid Tier-1.
- Distributors who won't specify the Bloomberg Tier of your batch — Talesun has oscillated between Tier-1 and Tier-2.
- "25-year performance warranty" promises without an active European claim account — verify where the claim is filed.
