Risen Energy panels — good price, but ask for back-to-back warranty

Short answer
Risen Energy, China, founded in 1986. Among the largest Chinese makers, but with low visibility in Romania. Decent quality for the price, but verify the Bloomberg Tier of your specific batch — Risen has occasionally produced uneven lots. Recommended only if your distributor offers back-to-back warranty (i.e., they take on the replacement risk themselves).
When to pick it
Risen can be an option when:
- A Romanian distributor explicitly takes on the warranty risk — you sign with them, not directly with Risen. If a batch has problems, the distributor replaces from local stock. Demand the clause in writing.
- Price 10–15% below Jinko/LONGi at equivalent wattage — Risen makes economic sense only at concrete price gaps, not parity.
- Budget commercial systems — on > 30 kWp installs where price/Wp matters more than marginal efficiency.
Watch-outs
- Risen "Titan" 670W with marginal margins sold at Jinko Tiger Neo prices — Titan is good, but built for utility, not residential; different clamps and structure.
- Distributors who can't show the serial in Risen's database — verify on risenenergy.com that your batch is real.
- Tier-1 promises without an exact date — Risen has been on/off the Bloomberg Tier-1 list in different years; demand the Bloomberg list from the installation quarter.
