Huawei SUN2000 inverters — Romania's best-selling inverter

Short answer
Huawei entered solar in 2013 and quickly became the global volume leader. The SUN2000 series is the most-installed inverter in Romania in 2024–2025 — good price, mature FusionSolar software, 10-year standard warranty. Works excellently with Huawei LUNA2000 batteries. The only sensitive point: US sanctions against Huawei do not directly affect the EU market, but verify the spare-parts pipeline with your distributor before you buy.
When to pick it
Huawei SUN2000 is the rational default for Romanian residential:
- 5–15 kWp Casa Verde system — SUN2000-6KTL-L1 (single-phase) or SUN2000-10KTL-M1 (three-phase) are the best-selling Romanian inverters. Good stock, competitive price.
- Plan to add a Huawei LUNA2000 battery — native integration, simple install, shared FusionSolar app.
- Mature FusionSolar app — one of the most polished end-user apps. Up-to-date data, monthly reports, working alerts.
- Optional DC optimisers — for partially shaded roofs, Huawei offers separate optimisers (SolarEdge-style) at lower cost.
Watch-outs
- Huawei parallel stock through non-official importers — spare parts pipeline is cut. Demand a distributor on Huawei Romania's official list.
- "M0" vs M1 models — M0 is the 2020 generation, M1 is 2023+ with new features (integrated BAT module).
- "FusionSolar Premium" promises at no extra cost — the Premium tier (with extended reports) is subscription-based; not included by default.
